KARLOVAC, the city,
was founded in July 13,1579 in valley of the Kupa river, 45 km southwest
of Zagreb. As a very strong industrial and traffic center with about
60 000 inhabitants, the metal, textile, leather and printing industries,
with long lasting tradition, have especially developed in the area.
Its eminently favorable geographic location, and excellent highway
connections to all major European cities make it an excellent site
for doing business.
